New Name, Same Team, Same Great Game!

We are excited to announce that the name and brand of Harbourside FC will transition to Nanaimo United to bring it inline with our parent club - Nanaimo United FC. Our first two seasons in League1 BC have been exciting and successful, and this change will allow us to continue to grow by building upon the rich tradition of Nanaimo United FC as a strong regional club with a history dating back to 1903, as well as continuing to develop clear opportunities within the provincial and national soccer system! 

Harbourside FC was founded by Nanaimo United FC in 2022. At the time, League1 BC branding guidelines required a separate identity, but the club's operations have always been underpinned by NUFC. This new alignment will bring everything together to build more player opportunities and operational synergies that have served us well to date! The clear link to semi-professional opportunities for our players, coaches, and referees will continue to grow with the game! 

Nanaimo United FC will now offer opportunities from youth to adult at all levels of play: recreational, competitive, and high performance, which will now include the Nanaimo United FC League1 BC men’s and women’s semi-pro teams! 

And we’ll have the same exciting game-day vibe at the pitch for our fans!
